SWITCH:

A Device that makes connection between specific devices on a network by sending and receiving data between them.

HUB:

A network device that broadcasts information to every devices on the network.

ROUTER:

A network device that broadcasts information to every devices on the network.

MODEM:

A Device that connects your router to the internet and brings internet access to lan.

FIREWALL:

Monitor and controls the incoming and outgoing traffic based on predetermined security rules protecting networks from Unauthorized access.

NETWORK INTERFACE CARD(NIC):

Hardware that connects a device to a network ,facilitating communication between devices.

ACCESS POINT(AP):

Extends a wired Network by allowing wireless devices to connect,providing WIFI Coverage.

BRIDGE:

Connects two or more network segments,allowing them to function as a single network and reducing traffic.

GATEWAY:

A Gateway is a device that connects two different networks,allowing them to communicate with each other.It translates Protocols and data formats to enable data transfer between incompatiable systems.
